Cheekwood Art Camp

Pipiri and I have gone to Cheekwood Art Camp for two years in a row now.

When children are under 5 they have to have a parent accompany them to the camp. Ours was for children ages 3-4.

Ours met M-F for an hour each day. It was called Bitty Bugs and Beautiful Blooms.

The children receive cute tshirts that they can wear each day and use as paint shirts if they want.

This years camp was wonderful! We both loved it!

Each day was a bit different. One day we read "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", one day we went on a leaf hunt, and one we walked around and looked at the incredible bug exhibit.

This art work was a three day piece.

It turns out so cute...."bumblebees in a honey comb"

Another two step piece..."irises"

Collected leaves made by spraying water on paper.

Tissue paper butterfly marionette.
Budding artist.

All artwork from the week.

Sapling Ant. He was amazing!

Pipiri's favorite...the Assasin bug.

We love Cheekwood and go quite often. The trains are a huge hit with kids. Andy Warhol has a traveling exhibit that is there currently that we hope to check out soon. And the bug exhibit is fabulous!
